The ST-03 putter from Honma may look like it needs getting used to at first glance, but the shape has its justification. On the one hand the three lines help to align the putter and on the other hand the bulge behind the ball is shaped in such a way that the direction of the putter is clearly visible.
The weight distribution of the ST-03 putter is also designed so that balls hit away from the sweetspot will stay as close as possible to the direction and won't lose too much speed. This is one of the big advantages compared to a blade putter.
There is a reason why putters with this shape are played more and more on tour. The advantages are simply too convincing compared to blades and you shouldn't make your life any harder than it is.
