Honma Beres Black Fairway Wood

With the new Honma Beres, not only the technology has changed a lot. Above all, the new Black Series is new as an extension to the "standard" Beres Series, which is called "Aizu" this time. The big difference is in the design and the shafts. In the Beres Black Series, these are more diverse than ever before. Because from 42g to 55g a very wide spectrum can be covered - from senior to good amateur players with almost average club head speeds.

The fairway wood of the new Beres features the so-called Triple Slot Technology. This is an extension of the previous concept and above all helps to deal better with hits outside the sweet spot. Basically, the Beres Black fairway wood is set to "anti-slice", whereby the clubface no longer appears quite as closed compared to the previous model. This anti-slice tendency is mainly controlled by the centre of gravity, which is placed relatively close to the shaft. This makes an opening of the clubface and thus a slice much more difficult. The Beres Black fairway wood saves a lot of weight due to the carbon crown and places this weight far below the ball. This enables a maximum launch but without generating too much spin. This means one thing above all: with this fairway wood, high ball flights and, thanks to low spin, a lot of length can be produced. Due to the high trajectory, however, the ball lands sufficiently steeply on the green and can therefore be controlled well.

The shafts of the Beres Black Edition are designed for a somewhat flatter launch than the comparable Beres Aizu. The Black Edition also does not have the usual star categorisation.
