Honma Beres Black Irons
Regular price €2.334,00
Even though the Black Beres come onto the market with a very unusual look: nothing has changed in the basic principle of Beres. Beres allows you to get the maximum out of limited club head speeds. And this is achieved on the one hand with the very soft but nevertheless high-quality shafts, the low swing weight and an iron construction that is designed for maximum launch and ball speed.
Compared to the predecessor, something has changed here. The irons now have a very large L-shaped face with integrated slot technology. In short, both allow the ball not only to leave the clubface at maximum speed, but also to be launched more easily into the air. It is precisely this recipe that enables good results even with low club head speeds. In addition, more weight has been added to the toe, increasing the MOI and making it easier to deal with hits outside the sweet spot.
The Beres Black irons are equipped with a very high quality black finish and look very classy, especially with the many golden elements. Of course you have to ask yourself how long these irons will keep this unique look. And since this is still a very new technology, we do not have any reference values from customers. But the fact is that there is currently no better coating on the market and Honma attaches great importance to maintaining the colour. Of course, scratches, e.g. after unfavourable contact in the bunker, will also be visible as with other irons. One should also know that this coating is not a "raw variant" that weathers over time.
The Beres Black are no longer divided into stars, but only into different shaft weights. And here we have an extremely wide selection from 42g to 55g. The latter is really also an option for players with average club head speed. The lighter weights are suited for seniors and gentlemen with below average club head speeds. The shafts of the Beres Black series are minimally designed for flatter launch - compared to Beres Aizu. Nevertheless, they correspond to the typical Beres profile. The shafts are a little stiffer in the grip area, which also means a little more control in this area.
Standard Iron Set: #6-#10 + #11 = 6 Irons.
